Benny Hinn calls, “Heresy!”

A few things Hinn said:
– Joel Osteen has a devil.
– Woe to anyone who doesn’t preach the one true gospel.

Amazingly, Hinn’s sermon was actually pretty good.  Except… shouldn’t be preaching that very message to himself?  Everyone should realize by now that Benny Hinn is a false prophet. Here is a video that exposes him:

I think that the funniest thing is that people continue to regard him as a prophet, even though he’s been wrong.  Are you kidding me?  You can be wrong a few times and still be a prophet?  If you claim to be declaring the Word of God, you’d better be right, or He’s gonna be pretty ticked off!

“My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who give lying divinations. They shall not be in the council of my people, nor be enrolled in the register of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.” (Ezekiel 13:9)

“And her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lordhas not spoken.” (Ezekiel 22:28)

“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.” (2 Peter 2:1)

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” (1 John 4:1)

  1. False prophets can’t preach lies all the time. Even the devil knows to mix some truth in, lest he be exposed. It is certainly nice to hear someone affirm the exclusivity of Christ, but what a mouth to come out of. But here is someone who has done as much or more damage to the credibility of the gospel as J.O. has done (see B.H.’s Wikipedia page). As in James, even the demons know their doctrine.

  2. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

  3. What confuses the heck out of me are the next verses in 1 John 4: “By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God.”

So how can someone who has made so many false prophecies in Jesus’ name seem to argue so passionately for his exclusivity as a way to God?

  4. Well, that’s nothing new. As a Calvinist, I am always grateful for the felicities of inconsistency on the part of Armenians. The real man is who he is on his knees, not who he is behind the lectern.

  5. What a conceited, religious bigot!! I dunno who’s the bigger clown – those that hang on his every word or Hinn himself.

I love how he asks “Who cares if you offend ppl?” when a few minutes before he threatened to punch a guy out for offending him.

The very epitome of “Sounding brass or clanging symbol”
